About this article,i am going to share my a few thoughts of Dr win’s a couple of medical essays. On his personal website,i found profuse amount of essays about western and Chinese medicine. It is not weird because he had been studying neurology for more than 10 years, not to mention his Chinese medicine doctor, with his professional western medicine knowledge, he can combine both together to provide better services.

The most impressive thing his essays give me is his willing of popularizing Chinese medicine. As a Chinese, especially a Chinese medical doctor,he has a strong feeling of taking it as a responsibility, which i think it is a noble notion.and always prepare to help patient. Some of you may know and see a social charity activity called “Chinese doctor in overseas”. It is a group of four Chinese doctors, contributing their part-time to communities. It is completely free during the activity and it is truly helpful for vulnerable group who do not have money or receive proper treatment from western medicine doctors.i realized that many kiwi patients encountered a very embarrassing situation, which the western medicine can not help, nor did some of Chinese ones. Because patients always give up on their way to cure disease especially when they visited the wrong doctors over and over. He is the one that is worth seeing.

He always has his own opinion. Of course it is based on his experiences and solid medical elementary knowledge. The result turns out to prove he is right nine times out of ten. It is a common phenomenon that doctor follows the previous doctor diagnosis to continue treatment. The truth is they are not confident, they even doubt themselves of the disease which patient already got, they do not want to take the risk of overthrowing the former diagnosis and making themselves as a peculiarity.

His case analysis really impresses me a lot, it is well accepted that evidence plays a significant role of reality. Every time he makes diagnosis,he always enumerates more than 2 reasons or medical facts to proof his final diagnosis, which make it enough persuasive.because it is important for a doctor to think more than one way, particularly for similar symptoms.

I don not think language will be a problem between you and him during your consulting or healthy-care visit. I sincerely recommend you give it a shot and get a good result that you want.

One of the courses that we are having is practical diagnosis of Chinese medicine, as we can see from the title,it is a course that help us to deal with the circumstances which we may encounter clinically.

There is one thing that the tutor kept repeating again and again, it is about the details. This is right, for Chinese medicine, we do not have advanced technique equipment that can help us analyse the data which is collected from the patients. It is commonly regarded that the Chinese medicine doctor, the more skillful he is. That is because the experiences he has got from his career and situations he has been through, the more important thing is he put his attention on the detailed informations. As he knew for Chinese medicine, one tiny little wrong information may get the wrong sow by the ear. For instance, when we come into a case that is caused by wind-cold exterior syndrome, the patient could have aversion to cold, headache, tight and floating pulse, pain feeling in the whole body,etc.. It is always promiscuous with cool-dryness attacking, since they almost get same symptoms which may confuse some doctors in clinic. The main difference that we use to differentiate the two condition is if the patient gets running nose or the time when they got it. Because dry evil can consume the body fluid that leads to some dry signs and feeling, another reason is in Chinese medicine,we believe dry evil often attacks human body in autumn season.

Another example is when the patient got exterior syndrome, we have sweating method to expel the evil, but not all the sweating method is right, the doctor should care for the amount of sweating, the temperature of sweating, the proper sweat is suppose to be warm, the amount should be trifling, profuse is forbidden when using sweating method, neither of the temperature is cold as sweating need comply with the warm sweat to certify the defensive qi is strong enough to support to body recovery. That is to say, after sweating method,we should pay attention to the texture of the sweating in stead of getting the sweating.

This is one thing that i should learn to detect from the patients when doing diagnosis, a better way to achieve the goal is to study from the senior doctor and meanwhile, for building a high construction,we have to lay a solid foundation…

Have you ever experienced some tiny little things that strikes your mind which was like a spark ignites up all your thoughts and set you into a complete unlimited space? When you come back to the reality, you figured out something that was hardly trusted by you has changed, not because the things have changed, but the the ways we think about it.

I was hit mentally by two things as like i just mentioned above, it happened when we had business development,a course that i am taking in my year 2 semester 1. What happened is when the lecturer discussed the method of finding out clients around us, he showed us the techniques we should use when having a conversation with our clients, some things like when the potential clients ring you to talk about his or her condition whether might come to visit us or not,the tricky thing is how to answer it, the answer he gave us is i am a little busy right now, could i have your cellphone number so that i can ring you back once i am free? Later he explained that the main goal of your words is to guide them to think in the way that is good to you,the proper response to the client is how skillful the practitioner is,otherwise not many customers will come and visit,etc..

In the following, when you call back to the client to arrange a booking, make sure the initiative is in our hands. For instance, about the time issue, considerably, the patient could not pick whenever the time they want come,on one hand, it may lead a trouble such as being home late or staying at your clinic killing time for hours;on the other hand,it may make the client think he is the boss of this whole thing, furthermore, during the incoming visit, the attitude and concentration will change completely different, as i practice in this clinic, i can ensure the circumstances happen all the time. The clients will talk about things that are totally irrelevant to their healthy problem and answer the question carelessly.

In conclusion,as a qualified healthy-care practitioner,we are the ones that should take rule in the whole process during our service, not only in our professional knowledge, but in any other conditions that may take place unpredictably when serving our client. Being a practitioner here, we have to manager the relationship between the client and us, this includes physical-care, so do the mental and daily-life healthy care at the same time. In other words, healthy care is not just the problem that you can see physically, but all the aspects that will trigger the issues. We are supposed to pay attention as much as you do in our major study to learn how to settle down other healthy issues meanwhile.

While studying in this democratic country, it is nothing more important than treating individuals, so we need learn to be a good healthy practitioner who is easy to talk and share with…

Treatment of Neurological Disorders with Acupuncture
By: Acufinder Staff Writer
A neurological disorder refers to a problem with the nervous system, which is a complex, sophisticated system that regulates and coordinates the body’s activities. Nerve pain can arise from trauma, inflammation, stroke, disease, infection, nerve degeneration, exposure to toxic chemicals, and nutrient deficiencies.

Nerve pain is usually a sharp shooting pain or a constant burning sensation. Typically occurring in the same location with each episode, it can often be traced along the nerve pathway. Sometimes weakness or impaired function in the affected area occurs and the skin may be either overly sensitive or numb.

Some common neurological disorders acupuncture treats include:

Peripheral Neuropathy – damage to the peripheral nervous system, which transmits information from the brain and spinal cord to every other part of the body. Neuropathy caused by diabetes often affects the feet.

Trigeminal Neuralgia – facial pain, sometimes called Tic Douloureux, affects the trigeminal nerve which is responsible for impulses of touch, pain, pressure and temperature sent to the brain from the face, jaw, and gums.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome – also known as median nerve entrapment, it occurs when swelling or irritation of the nerve or tendons in the carpal tunnel results in pressure on the median nerve.

Headaches – Headaches that can be treated with acupuncture include migraines, tension headaches, headaches occurring around the menstrual cycle, sinus headaches and stress-related headaches.

Acupuncture and Oriental medicine have been found effective as a conjunctive therapy for neurological disorders and in treating pain and inflammation. Find an acupuncturist near you to learn more about how acupuncture and Oriental medicine can be integrated into your neurological health plan!
