Heels pain for 8 months, burning pain in the heels and going up to legs. #heelpain #plantarfascia
My Opinion
-
The patient has burning pain in the heel that radiates to the lower leg, which suggests Baxter’s nerve entrapment.
-
She also has tenderness at the point where the plantar fascia attaches to the heel, indicating plantar fasciitis.
-
It appears that the plantar fasciitis led to inflammation, which in turn affected Baxter’s nerve.
-
Therefore, we need to consider both plantar fasciitis and nerve entrapment in the diagnosis and treatment.
-
I initially used general acupuncture to treat the plantar fasciitis, but the results were not satisfactory. Finally, I used a mini-knife technique to release the plantar fascia, and the results were clearly effective.
