Ever since I work for a massage shop,I have met quite many ladies who work at the office get carpal tunnal syndrome, which is a kind of neuropathy more specifically medial never neuropathy where runs along the middle route of forearm roughly.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is commonly due to compression of medial never leading to the numbness, pain and weakness of fingers particularly index finger, thumb and middle finger.
it is a repetitive stress injury happening in women who works at the office and age between 30-50 years old commonly. It is regarded as a modern-civilazed disease since people sit in front of the computer and use their arms all the time without noticing even if the injury is undergoing.
Not only affecting computer workers, it causes trouble among those who have to use hands much more than reasonable necessary such as musician,teacher,editor or a jounalist. Many research have shown that female suffers more than male since they have narrower carpal tunnel than male. Apart from them, those who have reumotoid arthritis,diabetes,hypertension or disorder of thyroid gland may get the possiblility to have it as well.
Once you find out these symptoms appearing on your hands, you should have yourself checked and do not let it be getting worse:
1) feel weak when fisting one hand or both;
2) numbness around the hands and palm or reactiong slow when being stimulated by objects;
3) feel wrist pain andcan not flex or extend hands freely;
4) symptoms are relieved by massage or rest.
Chinese medicine focuses on preventing disease before its onset, there are some things that you can do to keep it away or stop it turning worse:
1) Take a few minutes break every 30 to 45 mins from working.
2) Extend and flex your tendons and muscles to reduce the tension
3) Swap the things reasonably instead of doing a single one at once.
4) Keep a correct position is vital important to prevent illness.
5) if you go to the gym, relaxing your instead of doing muscle training which will definitely make symptoms worse.
