Urgent Face to Face Consultations and Acupuncture Now Available – Updated Acupuncture Guidelines
We have received new guidance from the NZ AcuNZ which means that we can now see patients deemed URGENT in a face to face setting with appropriate infection control procedures in place.
The Urgent Care definition has now been expanded to include the final 3 points below:
Treatment cannot be delayed or carried out remotely without risk of significant harm or permanent and/or significant disability, or
Failure to access services will lead to an acute deterioration of a known condition, or
Delay in access to services will impact the consumer’s ability to maintain functional independence and significantly negatively impact quality of life, and
Services can’t be delivered by a similar service which is currently operating, or by clinicians already in contact with the patient for ongoing care.
If you have a worsening condition, that is not improving with medical advice or treatment by a service currently operating, please email us at drwinacupuncture@gmail,com and we’ll be in contact to discuss whether you can be seen in clinic. Please DO NOT book an appointment online, all appointment requests must be through email or by phoning the clinic on 0211793736. Please LEAVE A MESSAGE if phone is unattended, we will call you back.
For the safety of our staff, (who are all fully vaccinated) and our patients, we will be operating in staff bubbles with set days and times.
Please remember, if you do attend any Face to face appointments:
Please complete our Covid-19 screening questions emiled to you and check updated places of interest when completing
Please bring 2 clean towels with you, shorts or appropriate clothing for your injury
You will need to scan in using the Covid-19 QR code when entering the clinic
Use the hand sanitiser when entering the clinic
Please come to your appointment alone, or only with a single support person
Please do not enter the clinic reception area if there is another patient in the waiting room, we are operating on a one in/one out principal

Please call us and reschedule if you are sick
For all non-urgent injuries Telehealth Chinese medicine consultations will continue through phone, wechat , Facebook , and face to face appointments will resume in Level 2.
