Teresa Patient Review,Fatigue, Cold Hands and Feet — “My Circulation Improved”

Patient Background

This patient was a young American man in his twenties who mainly worked with computers.

He had been experiencing long-term fatigue, cold hands and feet, and widespread tightness through the neck, shoulders, back, lower back and hips.

He travelled to Australia and New Zealand partly to take a break from work and give his body time to recover. After arriving in Auckland, he received several treatments with Teresa and chose to stay for about two weeks to continue treatment.

Patient Feedback

During treatment, he reported that his body gradually felt lighter, his hands and feet became warmer, and his fatigue reduced.

After completing treatment, he left this Google Review:

“Very good with lots of experience. My circulation improved after and I feel better.”

tired, cold in the hand and foot, tight muscle

Teresa’s Clinical Reflection

From a TCM perspective, his fatigue and cold extremities could easily suggest deficiency.

However, Teresa’s examination also found marked muscle and fascial tightness throughout the neck, shoulders, back and hips.

This suggested that the problem might not simply be “not enough Qi”, but also that Qi and Blood were not moving freely.

For this reason, treatment focused more on releasing tension and moving stagnation rather than simply tonifying.

The patient’s later response — feeling lighter, warmer and less fatigued — supported that original clinical reasoning.

This case is a good reminder that similar symptoms can come from different TCM patterns, and treatment direction should be based on the whole clinical picture rather than on symptoms alone.
