Severe Heel Pain That Had Not Fully Improved
This patient had been suffering from severe pain in both heels. Before coming to our clinic, he had already seen doctors, a podiatrist and a sports medicine specialist. He had MRI scans, shockwave therapy, standard exercises and new footwear, and was told that the problem was plantar fasciitis.
Some of these treatments helped, but the main problem remained. He still had significant pain when standing barefoot on his heels.
When he came to see Dr Win, what stood out to him was that the examination did not focus only on the painful heel. Dr Win carefully checked the whole foot and ankle.
During the examination, there was marked tenderness around the inner ankle region. The patient later wrote in his Google Review that when Dr Win pressed this area, the pain was so strong that he would “shriek with pain.”
Treatment was then directed to the areas identified during the examination.
After treatment, the patient reported a considerable reduction in pain.
In his review, he particularly appreciated the time taken to understand the problem and to examine the whole foot and ankle rather than focusing only on the heel.

He wrote:
“He took his time to really understand what was going on.”
and
“I have noticed a considerable reduction in pain.”
This patient’s experience highlights how important a thorough examination can be when persistent heel pain has not responded fully to previous treatment.
