Today I will take gout aithritis as an example to explain how the disease affects our body.Gout results from deposits of uric acid and urate crystals in the joint that then cause an acute inflammatory response. More than 99% of primary gout cases are referred to as idiopathic, meaning that the cause cannot be determined. However, doctors believe that gout is most likely the result of a combination of hormonal, genetic, and dietary factors. Secondary gout may be caused by drug therapy or by medical conditions other than an inborn metabolic disorder.
Gout is 9 times more common in men than women. Gout often affects men in their 40′s and 50′s although gout attacks can occur after puberty. Gout attacks are more common in women after menopause. Gout attacks are also more common in people with kidney disease. The following factors increase your risk for gout:
• advancing age
• drinking a large amount of alcohol, particularly beer
• eating purine-rich foods
• exposure to lead
• family history of the condition
• male gender
• obesity
• other, serious illness
• organ transplants
• thyroid problems
• use of certain drugs, including diuretics, aspirin, cyclosporine, or levodopa
A sudden increase in serum uric acid levels usually precipitates an attack of gout. Gout often affects a single joint, such as in the great toe. When acute inflammation develops from uric acid deposits, the articular cartilage is damaged. The inflammation causes redness and swelling of the joint and severe pain. Attacks occur intermittently. A tophus is a large, hard nodule consisting of urate crystals that have been precipitated in soft tissue or bone, causing a local inflammatory reaction. Tophi usually occur a few years after the first attack of gout and may develop at joint bursae, on the extensor surfaces of the forearm, or on the pinnae of the ear.

If the gout arthritis left untreated, it may lead to erosions, deformity and disability due to chronic inflammation-causing secondary joint degeneration. It can also cause hypertension and albuminuria and chronic renal failure due to accumulation of urate crystals and destruction of kidney tubules.

Inflammation can be subdiveded into two types: acute and chronic inflammation. Five typical signs are shown as redness,heat feeling swelling,pain and loss of funtion respectively. With the appearance of signs in acute inflammation,four stages will take place one by one. They are incubation stage,prodromal stage,acute stage and recovery stage.

INCUBATION STAGE : pathogen actively multiplies and gets stronger to cause damage after moving to next stage,no recognizable symptoms in host can be seen currently,this stage may last long or short due to individual condion. Causes of first stage of acute inflammation are infections,trauma,tissue nercosis or physical and chemical agents or even the hypersensitivity of immune reaction.

PRODROMAL PHASE: initial appearance of symptoms such as mild fever,tiredness may occur.the duration is still variable. The signs and symptoms are produced by the mediators which mainly come from the plasma or cells,such as histamine or serotonin.

ACUTE PHASE: the worst stage of all,the maximum damage to the body can happen showing that the infection has spread,tissue damage and inflammation will occur. Local and systemic manifestations are shown like fever,leucocytosis or acute phase protein production in the liver.For this patient,the exudate is formed with purulent pus which is made up of degraded white cells,protein and tissue debris, the patient feels painful as the mediator is released.

RECOVERY STAGE : infection is contained, pathogen is eliminated ,damaged tissue is repaired,symptoms disappear. The time is still uncertain.during the stage,the patient may end up with complete reslution , abscess formation , ulceration , chronic inflammation or healing with the scar formation.

I have a part-time job in a shopping mall working as a masseur to practice the massage that i have learnt from school and the clinic.

When i was training of massaging,a problem will always make me worried so much, once i can do it,can i get enough clients for living if i decide to do it as a job. How the things happens really slaps me on my face,because you do not need to worry about that. There are heaps of people needing it. I am trying to convincing you not come to do massage,it is true that it does help if you really want regard it a way to maintain your body in a good condition,neither did i say relying on it. You may not find once you become depending on one thing, you are gonna miss so much as long as you can not find it out. Life is fickle,the only thing we can keep in our hands is adjusting yourself and catching up.

Life speed here is running much slower than that of Chinese people,but still people want keep themselves busy like driving for a trip,go for a picnic or other things. Because life is boring if you do not search for fun here.in the end,people do not get time to relax their bodied instead of keep them in a tight condition,gradually they will feel fatigue,low energy or sore on somewhere you body begin to respond to the things you have done.

Taking control of your body,there are things you can do to make it healthy such as shutting down the TV set or PC,dressing up and go for a jogging,participating in community with other family,giving up things that causes you troubles like overworking, smoking,drugs…

So living healthily before it is late,we all should get our ass moved from now.

What is the sublimate option that we human have been pursuing in getting rid of disease? Well, in my understanding,it is supposed to be like never happened in one’s entire life, i assume that you hold the same opinion. As the Chinese medicine principle believes,”best doctor treats disease before its onset,better doctor treats disease at the very first beginning stage,the good doctor treats when the disease causes incredible suffers.” in modern world,western medicine comes to pay more and more attention to prevent disease onset after exploiting centuries, in other words,it matches the target that we put forward thousands of years ago. To some extent,it reflexes some advanced perspectives in Chinese medicine. There are still some other brilliant thoughts which i think will be proofed in the future.

I am not judging between the two completely different medical theories,they are mutual-complementation with each special advantages.for example,Chinese medicine uses a macroscopical understanding to look at the whole world,basing on that,they hold human body as a part of nature. They do not rely on substances from outsides, on the contrast,they put human itself as the main weapon to fight against diseases. All the treatment method we use is to help adjust and stimulate the potential within human to step out of disease. We have to admit it does not have enough accuracy as much as western medicine does,it does not have specificity comparing with western medication,which are more microscopic. On the other hand,it can explain and guide the treatment that could be done by western medicine.

Give you a simply case, urticaria,which easily occurs due to its dampness weather here,is seen in some naked parts of body such as forearm,face, neck areas. It is hard not to scratch when its onset,as well as an annoying skin disease in nz. As its allergens are quite widely contacted by human,it is not possible to avoid according to the artificial way. If you prefer hot and spice food,you gotta be very careful with your tummy, i know it is always delicious,but you have to know some precautions for that, those food may generate hot which is considered not good to human body,just like what the nature does,hotness consumes water into steam, our body does the same thing,stomach heat causes the damage of spleen-yin fluid,as spleen fails to transport the body fluid going upwards, the frequency of urination may occur.

If diarrhea takes place very frequently,say more that 6 times a day,it is very watery stool,not so smelly or pain feeling in abdominal area.this is because the dampness in large intestine, the features of dampness are sticky, heavy,going downwards. So it is hard to get it off completely, that is why it is not easy to fix. The treatment method should be dredging the urination in order to carry out the solid defecation.
